This is the only PP which catched my attention.

I am just wearing a 38 mm BB full calendar and the size is perfect: fully readable for my old eyes and still the watch is very elegant.

The new 5153G also comes with the Officer's Back which offers the best of two worlds. This new watch is something great which can be weared as well with jeans as with any kind of suit. It represent such understated class I have learned to expect from Patek.

Best, Kari

My favourite Patek Philippe watch of Baselworld 2011: the new 5153G!

 By: Dje : March 27th, 2011-05:23
I've given my opinion about the watch I see as the most important new watch for the Patek Philippe range at Baselworld 2011, namely the 5270G. I'll give ASAP some information about the Patek Philippe 5208 as it is a premiere for Patek Philippe and a watch...

Not bad at all, Jerome.

Tell me: What is the size of the case? One thing I would have really loved is the same watch WITHOUT the date. Great one, Jerome. No need to be complicated to be terrificly tempting. Best, Nicolas.

This is the only PP which catched my attention.

Dje, I agree with you. The last year or so, after the world recession, all the haute horlogerie brands have been "simplifying" or going back to their horological roots. In the Golden Age, Excellence was measured by chronometry, extra-plat and design. Thus...

Wise words Melvyn! nt

I'm very pleased to see a new black dial Calatrava!

 By: heartbreaker : March 30th, 2011-15:25
We recently talked about a black dial Calatrava in Jerome's post "What new Patek Philippe watch for 2011?": a lot of us were awaiting something like this and the 5153G surely is a superb timepiece. To my eyes, only a detail could be improved : the date ap...

Very nice! Have you considered...

 By: Wees : April 3rd, 2011-07:18
... a date at six? When I first got the 5053, I preferred it without the date (at six), but over time, I realised that the date added "weight" to the lower half of the dial and balanced out the text in the top half. I think your "half-index" with windowed...

Yup! Very good idea, Wees!

Hoping having rightly interpreted your advice.... For those who'd prefer it without any aperture.... Ciao!...

Brilliant

Maybe its because I am on a black dial period, but this watch brings my attention(unexpectably..)to Patek. Wonderful proportions, with a touch of "macho"factor that makes this Calatrava sooo tempting.. One of my fav offerings of this year s SIHH/Basel fairs...

Without date will be great

I was stearing mentioned watch about 2 hrs... It is my favourite as well... Does anybody knows what would be the price? 4th Patek would be great present for myself... Now I have two Calatrava's and one Gondolo. But this is my current own favourite with cl...
