Ugly duck of the family has started winning hearts...
How happy I am to see a thread just at the moment I was left undecided between the current and discontinued versions. A few months ago when I visited the AD in Istanbul to ask if by chance my 5124 arrived, I tried the discontinued version on my wrist and I fell in love with it. A few years ago when I first saw it in ADs, it had attracted my attention but I didn't try it thinking that it's too small. No it is not and looks great on the wrist. But I didn't go for it because I received my 5124 the day after. Two days ago in Stuttgart I tried the new version. The AD offered me a gentle discount; I asked for a few hours time to decide but I couldn't. Once again, I didn't buy it. As a result, this watch has started to occupy too much space in my mind. I don't know if the discontinued version is still there in Istanbul but if it is, I am in trouble. I know Jerome is in favour of the grey dial (which looks more elegant for sure) but on the other hand, glossy black dial's harmony with black strap stiched in antracit is a statement of its own. I'm left undecided. Opinions very much appreciated...
It's good to see that, slowly and slowly the ugly duck of the family is winning our hearts. Very much like the beettle story.
