Understanding the Calendar
I would prefer to acquire the timepiece which I should look after it forever, hence I am pursuing the piece that reflects the brand’s personality and history.
For the sake of example, Patek has laudable perpetual calendars equipped with state-of-the-art caliber 240, yet the 5146 takes a step forward while adding the power reserve indicator, the seconds hand and 4 Hz accuracy. I would say there is nothing to belittle the 5146 in terms of comparing it with a grand complication. We will understand the value in time… we will have understood by the time.
On the other hand, the 7137 of Breguet indicates another story to be told. To summarize, it is quite a Breguet… but Breguet might have done it in dial as flinque enamel.

To me, the annual calendar is best value for money not a hype watch but useful and fun to wear!
