Thanks, Jerome, for having answered to many of the questions which were hiding behind this " new " Perpetual Calendar, and to have summed the Silicon journey into PP watches, too.
The diagram of the respective amplitude curbs of the " improved " 240 and the " Standard " 240 is meaningful:
The amplitude is higher on the improved 240, and more regular for a longer time, even if the amplitude of the " basic " 240 is quite high for the 20 first hours.
The power reserve makes a significative jump, too; from 48 Hours to 70 hours.
It is also interesting to see, and understand the different steps between the first PP A.R watch and this last one.
Now, the thing is to try to guess what would be the next ilmprovements...
A good thing PP doesn't want to increase the priece of this latest 5140, compared to the 5140 P which was revealed last year, as it will compensate the last price increases, which were consequent, by the way.
Aesthetically speaking, the surprise comes from the new dial:
The blue dial of the 2010 version gave a kind of modern touch, while, on this latest version, the layout of the dial gives the watch a retro touch, which contrasts a lot with the modern technology housed in it.
Thanks, once again, for this very interesting write up, and for all these informations, Jerome.
Best,
Nicolas.
