5940 is a lovely watch indeed. I also like it a lot but still would prefer the same in white metal (and a folding clasp). The only issue for me is that how well this watch can take the time. Would I get bored with the shape during the years to come. Anyho...

It is a superb watch.

... of 5950A :)) Especially after the thread of the 5204P. Lovely post, feeling that Yg is making a comeback with also 5101J, and before that 5170J... Tnx god, i'm not a yellow gold fan. It would have been too much temptation. At least now i can handle it...

It is much more than a beautiful watch like 5204, it is charming , very very charming. Size is ideal imho, proportion are superb, the style is a bit vintage but it is perfectly done. A marvellous watch. And this complication is for me the most iconic of P...

the dial is superb

hard to see in pictures but that 'eggshell' dial looks amazing The vintage looking dial / numbers in a yellow gold case are perfect. I really love this watch But I wish it were bigger. Most Patek watches are really too small. They don't need to be 45 mm b...

For once I disagree with you Bruno

There so many watches which are that big in any brand and imho that's a pity. Not everyone wants these 40+ watch. I understand those who wants but for me 36 is ideal, above no, even if the 5070 was incredibly OK for 42mm, but that's an exception. I wear 3...

I agree with you and disagree with Bruno

On a hot day my wrist is full 8 inches and nowadays I find that in most cases 37-38 mm is the perfect size. I will not go below 35 mm and not above 40 mm. A late friend of mine was around 2 meters tall and 250 kg - a huge man. We bought for him Patek 5054...

Amazing watch!

The 5940 resonated with me as well. I love the size, shape, dial and movement. I even like it in yellow gold as generally I prefer a white metal or red gold, but there is a distinct elegance and harmony between yellow gold and the shape of the case. I lik...

Thanks for this report !

Hi Jerome, I'm not a fan of this case shape (generally speaking). But on the wrist, the impression changes immediately. It comes at the right place ! Another point : he has a special vintage look that pleases me very much : the case shape, the typo of the...

Excellent and energetic report Jerome, many thanks

and one request. The movement picture did not come out too clearly, would you be so kind to post another, have not been able to view this one in the metal yet and am quite intrigued! Sorry for any inconvenience. The numbers on the date I find quite charmi...

A good looking watch which I would suspect will do well. Love the case shape and dial treatment with the exception of the exaggerated numbers on the sub-dials. I'm sure many will like it as is, but some won't ... so maybe additional dial treatments will b...

Thank you Whit! nt
