Firstly, congratulations on your Anniversary WT! May you always wear it
In good health.
Thank you for your reply and insights, which I agree with in some parts.
The timezone switch first occurred in November 2009 in Russia.
It was an experiment that lasted three years and ended in failure.
In 2014 Russia reverted to UTC+3. No seasonal time change is envisaged from now on.
I would imagine its permanent, therefore, it is something that should be remedied imho.
While the commercial implications of reproducing the dials, as well as delaying shipment had not escaped me,
I firmly believe that at the very least an update at service or the opportunity to install a correct dial should be made
available free of charge to owners should they wish. As yet I have not heard of such an offer.
I believe that what I am proposing is inline with Pateks values.
And I quote from their home page
"Living by our values
The unparalleled renown and prestige that Patek Philippe has acquired amongst connoisseurs is not due solely to the perfection of the watches and the resources of knowledge and skill contained in the workshops. This undisputed supremacy also stems from the consistency with which the company has applied its philosophy of excellence ever since it was founded in 1839. "
It's the philosophy of excellence that I'm eluding to.
In conclusion, I wish Patek every success and offer this post as my personal opinion. I have nothing but admiration for the brand and people who run it.
I wish them and all Patek fans only the best.
Sincerely
H.
