I have a question

you had mentioned that the AD told you that you had not bought 'enough' Pateks from them to warrant being on the list. Have you bought any Pateks from them? And if so, what was their definition of 'enough' ? Personally, I think everyone interested in a Patek should be allowed to buy one even if they had to wait a few years to receive one. Waiting is actually part of the joy of the final ownership. The 5320 is not an allocation piece so it would be incorrect for the AD to make that statement to you. Yes it is sought after but so are some Nautiluses and Aquanauts.
A purist has suggested the 5270 which is 'easier' to obtain but the price difference is quite significant (almost double in the UK). In addition, you may be looking for an automatic rather than a manual perpetual calendar.
I think a chap called Harry2 said if you were rich, then, none of this should matter. I am afraid I disagree with this comment. I am far from rich but have a great passion for watches and I am able to get on most Patek lists because I have been a loyal customer. I know of wealthy people not being able to obtain say the 5131 range because you just cannot enter an AD and say you want to buy such a piece. Patek will reward its loyal customers with a 5131 or a limited edition because demand far outstrips supply.
The 5320 was launched last year. My AD has so far received two pieces and it has been almost a year since its launch. I personally wish Patek would try to fulfill the demand for this watch more. Yes it is the cheapest perpetual calendar it currently produces but it should not risk losing a genuine customer like yourself.
I wish you the very best and if you still have problems obtaining one from the USA, take a flight to London and visit the Patek Salon. They would never turn your business away.
