I hear you Bruno...

I find the "flipping"  infuriating. I actually know someone who just paid £100k for the 5131. £100k!!! The seller received the watch a week ago. Obviously it is still sealed. I do think one thing that Patek could do to put some dent into this practise is to stop sending watches to ADs in sealed form. It won't stop it, but it at least takes some froth away.

On the 5070P.... when a watch is as beautiful as this, even bad camera work looks good. But when you get good camera work, it looks sublime.

one day ...

Yesterday I took these pictures at a secondhand dealer I know pretty well. I really wonder how they will try to make the 5170 look as perfect as this...

Spectacular pics, Bruno.

One day...Will you get one? Indeed, the 5070 is much more corresponding to my taste, than the 5170. It has this " je ne sais quoi " which makes the difference. Superb. Best, Nicolas

well,

"One day...Will you get one?" - You never know ;-) I'm working on a 5131G but that will be VERY difficult. My AD send them that application form about 10 months ago. They would answer after basel 2010. And they did But I was hoping for a more positive ans...

Here goes the world, Bruno.

We can't get them all! Actually, the 5131 with its 39,5mm case may be too small for your wrist. Maybe PP knows that fact? I'm still traumatized when I remember the pic you posted of a Daytona ( 40 mm ) on your wrist. Best, Nicolas This message has been ed...

LOL

39.5 isn't indeed very big but I could live with it I would not wear e 36 mm watch but everything between 40 and 44 is imo perfect. So an exception to 39.5 won't be the problem

I hear you Bruno...

do not like flippers..... but this is a negative of the free economy...... You cannot put a stop to it..... Maybe that is the reason that PP makes client lists so to restrict it.... I do not applaud this, but I do understand it.... But some ADs are to be ...

I'm sure it's possible with professional stuff but it's also possible with cheap crap LOL I took these 5 minutes ago and it took me only a few seconds so the Rolex sub picture could be better if I took a bit more time But that's all you need ... a camera ...

And I empathise with your dilemma. If you have to wait several years to achieve getting your 5131, I wonder how much in that time the MRSP will have risen?
