Patek Philippe: New generation are all in house

I've got a feeling this new generation of in-house PP chronos will become legendary. Precisely because they're a return to inhouse.

Patek Philippe: Lemania obsession

Your post is absolutely right. The Lemania is fault - not a virtue. But say something like that to most 5070 owners and they start crying. I personally love the 5070 and am looking for one to add to my collection (which metal chaps - I can't afford P) but the Lemania movement has nothing on the 5170

Patek Philippe: hahahaha

Great post. There speaks a man that understands how the market and it's participants work! I spoke to a lovely bloke in a PP boutique and we were discussing the 5170 - he started smiling and then told me how 5070's were accumulating in his stock room downstairs on release because no-one wanted them.

Patek Philippe: hahaaha

Apologies but AP and PP are not comparable. Both may have issues but I know which brand i prefer - amongst many other issues, I've seen a chrono subdial fall out of the primary dial on a new AP ROO Grand Prix. Salesguy didn't know where to look, poor guy, A total joke purchase I'm afraid. Not a bran

Patek Philippe: Don't Worry - All Normal

First thing: You can't overwind a 5170 because it's got a dynamometric crown. Second thing

Patek Philippe: The differences between 5204 VS 5951

Right we've got two Split Second Perpetual Calender Chronographs here: The 5204 (and it's Lemania-based predecessor the 5004) and the 5951. Can someone explain the difference between these two pieces (aside from the obvious about shape and look etc). The 5951 is almost twice the (already very very s

Patek Philippe: Fantastic!

I've got to say, I really really like this elegant, oddly sporting and fairly unique Patek. Great looking watch to my eyes. Congratulations. Lovely.

Patek Philippe: ooops

I forgot to add - Congratulations to the owner on such an individual and bespoke purchase! Beautiful. I also understand the reluctance to remove from the seal, the case is just insanely detailed and it's going to take some guts to wear this piece - scratches, dings and dents will NOT be easy to refu

Patek Philippe: One of the rarest and most labour intensive PPs out there

I was in PP in London and had the chance to handle a very generous collectors 5160G. Let me tell you something - the detailing and engraving of the case, bezel and back is absolutely incredible. This is bloody rare piece and from what I was told, the engraving takes AGES AND AGES making it one of th
